Got some more done tonight. I cleaned the engine bay and the engine itself up a few times. Still need to clean everything 2 or 3 more times before I get it clean enough. I'm really thinking about writing a how-to on doing a light wire tuck on a 2V. That's going to be my next big project. Here's some pics.

I also ordered and recieved my new Motorcraft water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt. I figured I might as well do it while it was apart.

And then I painted my intake silver. I really like how it turned out.

I also painted my plenum black. Tomorrow I'm going to sand and polish the places with a machined finish.

Thanks guys! It don't look like I'm going to be doing the wire tuck right now.. Maybe in a few weeks.

Lucky son of a b... lol Hook a brother up! haha
Any issues with them rubbing?
No issues of any kind up front. They are awesome!

Made some more progress on it today.

Finished painting my accessories for the plenum and TB.

Put in a new set of spark plugs. These were the original 130,000 mile plugs according to the original owner!!!

Painted my alternator

And then got most of the parts installed. I'm going to finish it all up tomorrow night.

Thanks guys!!! I know I'm not doing anything groundbreaking here, but subtle mods and changes are really what I enjoy doing. Most of it will never get noticed, but I will know it's there.

Got the car back together tonight. So far, everything is ok. No leaks from where I had to put the RTV in the coolant ports to make up for the port mismatch. I cranked the car and let it run for a minute or two and I can already tell the car is more responsive and it sounds a little bit meaner. Here's some pics. Now to get a CAI and some 3:73 gears...

Here's some pics. I still need to do a final cleaning on everything and dress all of the plastic pieces.

Very clean! Did you take the alternator apart to paint it or did you just spray it?

Thanks man!

I got the car completely together and test drove it yesterday. No leaks or anything out of the ordinary. The throttle response is definately a lot quicker and the car pulls a whole lot better and smoother up in the higher RPMs. I drove the car to work today and it did great. Tomorrow I'm heading to Farmington Dragway for Imports vs Domestics after work. Might run the car too, but not sure yet.

Here's some pics lol
