Now I’m going to tell on myself. The transmission isn’t in the car.

Why? Neglect. What? Yes, neglect.

As in, I neglected to buy flywheel bolts and I don’t have a pilot bearing. I’m also missing a few coil pack bolts and the alignment dowels for the AC compressor. Not the end of the world but it would’ve been nice to have furthered this along.

Speaking of transmissions, the QuickTime bellhousing doesn’t fit with BBK headers. Period. The BFH made it all better though.

All in all, I’m not unhappy with the fact we knocked all of the internal engine upgrades out and dropped it into the car. That alone was no small feat.

I know they don't weigh as much but I think I did see somewhere that they are actually a lil bit wider than a big block.. that's why so many ppl wind up using hydroboost brakes on em, no room for a brake booster..

Growing pains... Pulled some of the Holley wiring through the firewall to get that ball rolling.

Decided to put the throttle body on so no critters made a home in my engine.

Stood back and thought, “Oh crap, it’s gonna hit the hood!”

Fuck.. It does hit the hood! So, I came up with an alternative.

nice! jealous. Cool to see this happening. yeah i was laughing when looking at our 2 5.0's at home side by side and seeing the coyote with its huge ass heads. The old pushrod motors look like wind up toys now, size wise.

What exactly is hitting the hood, the tb?

No, the 90* intake coupler. Keep in mind the hood is sitting on the core support and not properly adjusted. There will still be some contact but I found a solution because @lwarrior1016 brain washed me, again. It should take care of three
issues.
  1. Hood clearance
  2. IAC and where to put it
  3. Throttle cable mount

FAST 87mm TB that uses GM IAC and TPS!
