Got some work done this morning. took out the old front suspension, modified the modular k-member to fit in a fox, installed that and reinstalled the control arms. Now just having a hell of a time trying to remove the spindle off the it. Hopefully gonna have the rear axle pulled by the end of the night as well.

Stock:

Half-way done:

Modified:

Doesn't look pretty, but it's in there and snug.

Just curious why you modified it instead of a tubular?

money basically. If i was going to go tubular, i'd want to have tubular a-arms, coilovers, and c/c plates. And that's $600 i'm not trying to spend at this point. I'm keeping this as low budget as possible.

So why didnt you use the Sn k-member then if you didnt want to buy. you could have gotten the wider base platform to use.

I am using a 96+ K-member, you have to modify it to fit in a fox.

Made some progress while the site was down. haven't finished the brakes yet, but i put the engine in since it will be easier for me to move the car and motor together since i'm moving into a new place. I thought i had photos of the engine in, but i cant find them. here are a few of it out of the garage for the first time in forever. Should be all moved by the end of the month and i can get working on it again.

I tried two different sets of wheels to see which one i liked better. definitely leaning towards the Cobras...
