Springy? And it's the valley coolant hose under intake manifoldAre all your lash adjusters easily compressed and still springy? And what coolant nipple are you talking about?

Not really just moves up and downYou might need the water pump nipple being that you have a 1997. I think 98 changed. And when I say springy I mean when you press down on the top of the lasher, does it compress and feel like you are pressing on a spring?
There is some that won't move at all and some the do what I already stated. They might need to be replaced then. They should be springy.

So even with hydrolic lash adjusters they have springAs long as they roll smooth and aren't any flat spots you should be alright.

Saw video just now on you tube. Looks like I'm buying new ones.I will tear apart a lash adjuster tomorrow and take pictures so you know how they work.
Thanks for the reply, I read online about the bleeding process I'll look into the clampWhen I did my pi cam swap my lash adjusters were solid as a rock...I bled them down using a c-clamp and two thick pieces of rubber to protect the metal. I thought they were toast, but after bleeding them down the correct feel came back and I haven't had any issues with them. It's worth a try since new ones aren't cheap in my book
