I'm finally getting started on this project. I got someone to come pick up the old 96 convertible that i took almost all the parts off i needed for the swap. Sold the T56 i had in that car and picked up a low mile T45. Although the T56 was a super nice trans, the gears in it suck. I've had good luck with T45s, and the gears are much better for racing. Should be fun with the 4.56s and maybe some giggle juice..

The Basics:
91 4cyl/auto notch
01 Cobra Motor
99 Cobra T45
96 Cobra 8.8 with 31 spline axles, spool, 4.56s
Complete wiring harness out of a 96 GT

The Car:

What i've got done today..

Fox front end assembly > SN95 front end

anyway, the motor and trans is almost ready to come out. Just need to undo the motor mounts and it can go. Might hold off on that though since i don't have room left in the garage to put it somewhere. After lunch i'm going to start removing the interior so i can get the fox body harness out of the car.

If i had a way to swing buy with the trailer i would pick it up to get it out of your way...

You looking to sell it or just get rid of it, i might be able to find someone to pick it up and get it out of there.

I'm trying to sell it for a little bit. I put it on craiglist and fuelslut for $300 but i doubt im going to get that. Honestly i'd take $100 for it. If i end up not being able to sell it, i load it into my roommate's truck and pitch it somewhere. haha

Can't wait to see this thing done! T45 trans FTW!

Are you planning on painting the car the same color?

Paint isn't even on my mind anytime soon. If anything, i'll John Deere Blitz black it if i feel the need to paint it, but i don't have any kind of money for paint in my budget. Plus it's gonna look pretty stock to most people that don't know Foxes came in 4-lug, not 5. So i think the shitty paint will benefit me.

I got the motor and trans out yesterday, that 4cyl/auto combo is surprisingly heavy as hell. Definitely running out of space in the garage toput things. Quot working on it about 5:30 yesterday and went to relax and have some beers. Im off friday, so I should have the interior gutted and all the old harnesses out by the end of the week.

Got a few things done today. Removed most of the interior, took off the brake booster, and pulled out alot of the wiring harness. Might try and get a little more done after i grab some food, then i have the whole day Sunday to do some more work.

Put a couple hours into the car today. all the fox wiring harnesses have been pulled. started mocking up the 96+ pedals in the car. Working all day shifts for the next three days, but i'm off friday so i'm going to try and atleast swap out the rear axles, possibly swap gas tanks and start on swapping out all the front suspension. So far, i think the hardest part about this swap is going to be the brakes.
