Silverhorse Racing flush mount louvers FTW

Those are cool for sure, but no way I'm removing the glass in a brand new car.

I'm freakin laughing so hard.

Paul's like "wellp, I was gonna let it lie for a bit, but now I need to order everything right away"

Good luck at the track!

I can't help it. I'm really excited about this car, and I haven't been excited about any car I owned in almost a decade. All my cars normally do is suck the life outta me.

jesus man let the car cool down in the driveway before you rip into it lol, no the choices you made visually are going to make it look sex. we need to get a day at the track setup then for friday night!

I'll be at Firebird next Friday night. A buddy of mine is going with a bunch of Intel nerds and told me to come along.

13 second ETs with 400 hp here I come!! LOL

very nice car paul, I was at the ford dealership this weekend looking around (im not in the market for one of these) for a cheap gas saving car and couldnt keep my eyes off them. I say you should keep the louvers, hood scoop, But loose the strips. I love the glass roof and the upgraded interior too, like the seats etc. Is this your new DD?

You should come to Phoenix. You and my GF can do a photoshoot with the car, and make all these leghumpers' heads explode.

Anyway...Tint is done. A buddy of mine recommended a guy named Melacio. He does all the Mercedes at a huge local dealership, and does great work quickly. He said he could do it in my garage, and had it done in 90 minutes. I didn't have him do the glass roof. Only charged me $80, but I gave him a $100 because that's ridiculously cheap. Limo on the rear glass and quarters, and 20% on the sides. Car looks great.

That red looks a lot better when the pictures aren't overexposed. The tint gives it nice contrast too. I'm definitely looking forward to your progress on this car!

Yeah, for some reason my camera is taking shitty pics sometimes. I have a Canon T2i too, so it shouldn't be doing that. Weird.

Anyway, I'll get more pics next weekend once it's de-striped, de-louvred, de-scooped, and fully detailed by a professional. It will look great!

watch out for the intel nerds. Alot of the engineers are just half a step down from rainman for personality but there are a number of cool techs that have some nice cars. Workin 14 days a month they have the time off to wrench too...

My best friend is a mechanical engineer, and a bit odd. As a general rule, I love engineers and get along great with them. :)

Did you make a decision on if you're keeping the spoiler or not?

Not yet. Need to see how it looks with the stripes removed. I don't hate the wing. I hate the hood scoop.

Gotcha. I'm in the same boat, it's not bad, but it might look better gone.

Not to derail the thread, but what job does your M.E. friend have and does he like it etc? I'm 2 years into my M.E. degree and i'm trying to get a feel for the field. Thanks.

out of curiosity, who is detailing the car?

My buddy Josh. He details for Schumacher Mercedes professionally. He works on $100K+ cars every single day, so he can work on my crappy cars. He does excellent work.

He's a CNC machinist. Has a "day" job and also his own machines at his house that he makes stuff with. I think he likes it okay - he's been doing it for a long time.

can i come over and sit in the car for a bit? ill bring beer......and grilled cheese sammiches=-)

Yes. Bring Coronas please. And limes. No sammiches needed.

paul has modular car, shocking...:p In all seriousness nice ride!

As long as it's not a gay 4.6 it's okay. :) The new 5.0 is superior in every imaginable way.

I really am loving this new car.

Paul.

Congrats dude, car looks awesome. I guess I'm the only one that likes that appearance package from Ford, I think the hood scoop gives it a nice beefy look with the spoiler. I'd remove the stripes though, that's a good move.
